Just as I expected, creating and maintaining a blog has taught me a little bit about myself. As I sat with fingers arched and text editor primed I realized something. I realized something big, something relevant. I realized I'm not a writer. That doesn't mean I won't be doing the blog, it means something quite the opposite. I'm going to Blog even harder. The pressure to write ground breaking articles is gone, and instead replaced with a sweeping feeling of freedom. The freedom to say or post anything I want without worrying too much about its mind blowing revelations.
I expect I will continue to post advice and how-to style articles. Notably any time I encounter some sort of weird configuration or bug I will post about it here. This actually isn't pointless. If I've had trouble learning or fixing a certain niche piece of software, chances are good that someone else will too. It's a way to give back to the community while filling my blog with tech related content.
I will definitely blog about PHP, Javascript, or some facet of HTML. I do a lot of work in PHP, so it has become my programming language of choice for the web. Not to mention Drupal is written in PHP, and I sure do like Drupal. I spend a good chunk of my recent hobby time in Javascript. I've found that Javascript is an incredibly expressive, object oriented language with a very nice feel once you've learned some of the finer points. HTML5, well, HTML is sort of the glue that holds everything I do together, so there's a good chance I may bore you with an article about divs.
That's the gist of it. We'll find out if I have anything of value to say. Programmers and computer nerds aren't exactly known for the public speaking abilities.
